The aromatic structure supports compatibility with many rubbers, EVA-rich systems, alkyds, hydrocarbon solvents, and coating binders. A 110°C softening point supplies more body than lower-softening C9 resins while retaining manageable melt flow. Gardner color must be judged using the stated method; molten color and solution color are not interchangeable.
Formulation and application notes
In rubber compounds, MR-C9110 can be screened for tack, filler wetting, green strength, and processing behavior. Check cure characteristics and final mechanical properties because an aromatic tackifier may interact differently with each elastomer and oil package.
For EVA hot melts and adhesives, evaluate melt clarity, viscosity, open time, set speed, peel, and heat resistance. The resin may also be blended with C5 or C5/C9 tackifiers when a formulator needs to balance aromatic compatibility against initial tack.
In coatings and printing inks, test pigment wetting, gloss, drying response, solvent release, hardness, and storage stability. For asphalt or water-repellent uses, verify dosage, temperature history, and low-temperature behavior in the complete formulation. The resin should not be selected on softening point alone.
Packaging, MOQ, and shipment
